My First Post

Before I start anything I would like to thank all who inspired me for this blog, may be not exactly inspired but ya pushed me with lot of exaltation, motivation & influence…

So the name Bachelor Kitchen...

Let me start with the term bachelor; I think my fellow bachelors would agree it’s an honor to be a Bachelor, now here I would like to exclude the Eligible Bachelors, reason...?? It’s simple coz once the thought of marriage or a long term relationship are in your mind, the status of bachelorhood is gone, it’s a pleonastic statement, and either you can be bachelor or eligible. Please type the word bachelor and the first article defines it, “A bachelor is a man above the age of majority who has never been married. Unlike his female counterpart, the spinster, a bachelor may have had children. The term is restricted to men who are not in a pair bond and are not actively seeking a long-term partner.” My friends don’t worry about all the crushed crushes, you are still having your bachelor fellowship intact and we go by the rule “Get only that close to a girl that she warms u, not burn you up....”

Well when am talking about us “The Bachelors” how can I forget or not discuss what the group think about us who don’t have the fellowship of Bachelorhood; untidy, unclean, careless, insensible, unorganized, indifferent, not emotionally responsive... gosh the list is long, but thanks for defining us what we are and on behalf of all my fellow bachelors not only I respect your thought but also agree to each of the word you all use to define us. Yes we are all of the above, we live life king size just like The King, The Lion King- the most widely recognized male symbols in human culture (yes he too have the fellowship) untidy & unclean, we don’t care(careless) if you we smell awful, that’s the smell of bachelorhood. We don’t even like going to the barber for a haircut and yes we are too lazy to shave or even cut our nails, just imagine a Lion with trimmed or shaved mane. And if ever you encountered any of us clean & tidy, we are just trying to impress you for some or the other reason (can’t go into details here) or just to hide our real identity for the prey to fall into our trap. Let me be very clear we didn’t take a bath, just had a head wash, we are not wearing anything clean (the reason we prefer black and all the dark colors), they are just ironed and special thanks to all the products available that help us hide our identity, the name itself suggest they are not what they are, Old-Spice, Set-Wet, Axe...

Now for the term Kitchen, we are not aware of that word. We only know bachelor pad, please use your search engines, “Bachelor Pad is a place which is used in real estate to refer to an apartment with no bedrooms, in which the main room serves as a bedroom, living room and dining room (and sometimes kitchen)”. And when it comes to cooking we don’t have a preference we like anything & everything that is served or we can cook with least possible efforts, we don’t like wasting our time in cooking or don’t even remember the long list of spices available at the Super Market, we prefer our galli wale kirana dukan, which only have very limited stock of salt, chili powder, haldi, curry powder, we don’t need anything else. And what I believe we don’t need list of spices to prepare a finger licking dish, just need brain.

Its weekend and what can better then inviting few friends and have a party with lot of drink, lot of chit chat, very little to eat. So the starter, Fried Kaleji;

What we need?

Must

Chicken Liver & Gizzard- 500gms

Oil- 250 ml

Salt

Pepper or Chili powder

Utensils- as available.

Optional

Onions Sliced- 1 large

Ginger- thin slice

Fresh Chilies- thin slice

Fresh Coriander - finely chopped

What to do?

In utensil where in can deep fry, heat the oil for 2-3 minutes, deep fry the chicken liver & gizzard for 10-15 mins, add the chopped onions, chilies and ginger and deep fry for another 5 mins. Drain everything on a paper towel or news paper, add salt & pepper and garnish it with fresh coriander and we are good to go.

So what are we having tonite, Rum with Coke & water... that’s what is bachelor’s favorite rest all are show off or when we are confused what to do with the extra cash we have.

Cheers!!!
